Beautifying Atlantic Avenue is an ongoing effort. In a recent Atlantic Avenue survey, merchants and property owners identified a clean and attractive streetscape as a high priority.
This summer AABA volunteers and teens from Bedford Stuyvesant Project Regeneration, weeded tree beds, loosened soil, added compost and planted annuals and perennials for a great show.
A great thank you to the Independence Community Foundation, Brooklyn Heights Association, State Senator Velmanette Montgomery and AABA members.
As funds become available, AABA continues its matching grants for wrought iron tree guards. This program is available to AABA members only. (Become an AABA Member!)
